Lehmann&Voss&Co. takes over Solingen-based compounder WMK Plastics

In September 2015, Lehmann&Voss&Co. took over the Solingen-based compounder WMK Plastics GmbH.

The family firm headquartered in Hamburg is thus extending its range for the plastics industry.
WMK Plastics employs just under 40 people at its ultra modern site in Solingen, which it occupied in 2011. For more than 30 years, the company has been producing and selling engineering plastics for various client industries in the German-speaking world. The experienced team supplies its customers with a varied spectrum of services, ranging from grinding and granulation via coloration to sophisticated technical compounds, equipped with the full bandwidth of fillers and additives.
“We are delighted to be further expanding our involvement in the field of plastics through the acquisition of WMK Plastics. In addition to our high-performance compounds and functional masterbatches, we now have a third strategic product group that offers our customers competitive technical compounds with a broad service range,” explained Dr Thomas Oehmichen, shareholder of Lehmann&Voss&Co. with personal liability.
“Inclusion in the LEHVOSS group of companies opens up entirely new prospects for us: we see it as recognition of our previous success story and can continue to extend our skills through the newly acquired collaboration,” said an enthusiastic Thorsten Rosenbohm, Managing Director of WMK Plastics, who will remain at the head of the company in the future.
Lehmann&Voss&Co. relies on continuity and will continue to manage WMK Plastics as an independent subsidiary within the LEHVOSS Group.
