High-temperature-resistant LUVOCOM® compounds
For especially high temperatures of up to 260 °C we supply high-performance compounds based on various polymers. Depending on the polymer used in each case, even high temperatures do not present any problems:
- PA 46 up to 150 °C
- PPA up to 160 °C
- PEI and PES up to 180 °C
- PPS up to 220 °C
- PEEK* and PEK* up to 260 °C
The material strength under heat can be significantly raised by the addition of suitable reinforcing materials.
Typical applications include mechanical engineering, medical technology and parts subject to high stresses for the engine compartment and drive train in the automotive sector.

Temperature is not everything – further advantages
Thanks to their special properties, high-temperature-resistant high-performance compounds offer even more benefits for developers. Outstanding features here are the halogen-free flame resistance without the addition of flame retardants in most of these polymers, the low creep tendency, very good dimensional accuracy and sterilizability. In addition, a large number of different pigmentations can be chosen, with one example being PEEK for parts in medical technology.
