LEHVOSS Group expands production capacities worldwide for LUVOCOM® high-performance compounds.

In order to meet the continuing high demand for its LUVOCOM® high-performance compounds and to safeguard further growth, the LEHVOSS Group has taken the next extensive steps to expand its production capacities, some of which it has already implemented.

October will already see an additional line for high-temperature compounds go into operation in Germany. Due to the outstanding level of acceptance and the exceptional success of LUVOCOM® compounds in China, another compounding line is set to be installed in January 2019, just one and a half years after the opening of the local production plant. In North America, too, the LEHVOSS Group is expanding its
capacities and commissioning an additional line at the location in Pawcatuck, CT.

“This is how we are reacting to the high demand and providing a secure foundation for the global supply of our customers”, said Dr Alexander Sunder, Head of the Global Compounding Business. “At the same time, these investments are just another consistent step within the framework of our long-term growth strategy. Additional extensive investments in the expansion of our plastics business are currently the subject of detailed planning and are set to follow shortly”, added Dr Thomas Oehmichen, shareholder of Lehmann&Voss&Co. with personal liability.

As already reported, a new laboratory and innovation center is currently under construction at the Hamburg production site. This will reach completion at the end of 2018 and, in addition to state-of-the-art plastics testing methods, will also accommodate a customer-specific applications technology facility. The latter will also contain a comprehensive laboratory for 3D printing technology.
